Wacky Wednesday
Methodist Children's Fellowship Program
Each Wednesday school pick-up is provided to the church from various area elementary schools. Programming begins at 3:30 PM and includes snack, recreation, devotational and Bible study, choir, tone chimes, arts & crafts, liturgical dance, and drumming. At 6:00 PM the First Feast meal is offered to all those who wish to stay. This program is for children
pre-K through 5th grade. The children
prepare to lead in worship monthly through music and present
special musicals at Christmas and in the spring.
A Children's Sabbath is celebrated each year

Weekday
Preschool Program - Our preschool program for children 2 -4 years
is held from September through May from 8:30

Vacation
Bible School - Held during the summer each year with classes
for pre-school through 5th grade, this is a
time of exciting spiritual and fun activities
leading to a closer relationship with God and
the church family.
The 2009 VBS "Camp E.D.G.E." is scheduled for Sunday, June 14 through Thursday, June 18. We will be joining with North Wilkesboro Baptist Church for this venture. |

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY - Local and church
mission is an important part of our children's program. Children visit shut-ins regularly.
Children are considered an integral
part of our church family at First
United Methodist of North Wilkesboro.
It is our desire to do all we
can to minister to them and their
families, help them to grow in
their knowledge of God and to
experience His love for them through
the programs, activities and mission opportunties that
we offer.

Nursery
A well-staffed Nursery is provided for infants through 2 year olds during both the 8:45 AM and 10:55 AM Worship services and the 9:45 AM Sunday School hour. Contact

Children's Church
We offer a Children's Church for children 3 years through 2nd grade who leave the 10:55 Worship Service after the Children's Time. A creative activity and Bible Lesson are provided during the sermon portion of the service. Contact Person: Pattie Black

The "Live B.I.G (Believe in God)" Sunday
School curriculum
is being used in
the class for 2
and 3 year olds.
This exciting new
material has kids
singing, shouting,
laughing, acting,
dancing, creating,
running, jumping,
flying, thinking,
speaking, and relating
their belief in

Pre-K
through 5th grade
Rotation Sunday School for Pre-K through 5th graders presents major Bible stories and concepts through kid-friendly multimedia workshops such as Art, Games, Movies, Storytelling, Computer, Cookery, and Science. Students are asked to meet in the Chapel at 9:50 for a "Gathering" time before going to individual workshops. Emphasis is placed on church and local mission projects.
