Prayer Shawl Ministry

This group is for knitters who wish to make shawls for those people who might need the gift of some comfort or blessing. The monthly meeting of this group is on the second Tuesday of each month in the Lamplighters Classroom at 1:30 PM. This is a time to enjoy the company of other knitters while producing shawls to distribute to those who are in need of a loving touch!  Each participant must bring their own yarn and knitting needles. Stephen Ministry

Named for the first martyr, Stephen, this ministry is grounded in JesusŐ command to love one another. Stephen ministry is a one-to-one, confidential ministry of listening offered to those who are hurting or in need of special care. Everyone goes through hard times and having a Stephen minister to listen and share GodŐs love can help. Each trained Stephen minister is a lay person who has gone through 50 hours of preparation in providing Christian caregiving.
