Faithful Friends: This friendly, all-inclusive adult class chooses various timely topics and literature for discussion such as the novel “The Shack” and more recently “The Christian Family Tree” by Adam Hamilton . The class periodically undertakes short term “Disciple” courses, the most recent being an exploration of Paul’s Letter to the Romans. An upcoming study will be led by Pastor Franklin on the world’s religions. Activities beyond the Sunday Morning studies include quarterly social gatherings and the support of a family in need of food and financial aid.

Lamplighters: Singles and couples 35 and up attend the Lamplighters Sunday School Class. The class enjoys an open sharing of ideas through discussion of the standard Adult Bible Studies - International Lessons as well as special topics. For example, the class has just completed a study of different denominations for the purpose of discovering similarities rather than differences. Members rotate as facilitators of the lessons and discussions. In addition, projects are undertaken that assist those in need. In recent years, the Lamplighters have generously supported the church's Emergency Fund through a variety of fundraisers. They also fund a scholarship for a deserving young man or woman in their second year at Wilkes Community College. This scholarship was created in memory of a faithful Lamplighter.
